Mr. Michael Berg,Copenhagen has just finished these beautyfull detailed Mahle "Gasburner" wheels.This is the real German lightweight magnesium stuff,and not some heavy British wannabe rim.;)

4 stainless steel centre caps (nos)."5000 'Marathon Beetles' where produced to celebrate the Beetles world record production figure of 15,007,034 - that car (a 1302 Super Beetle) subsequently named the 'World Champion'. 'Marathon Beetles' were offered as 1300cc Standard model and as a 1302 Super with special Marathon Blue Metallic (metallic silver/blue, 96M) paint and unique silver and black sports wheels (Lemmertz made, part no. 000 071 475B), with silver wheel nut covers and octagonal VW alloy centre caps."

This M.A.G. wheel ( under repair ) belongs to Kim Riishede.Some time ago, I spotted this particular set of rims, in an old "Bug-service" catalog.After some "detective work" Kim wrote,and told me that he was the owner now.It's good to know, that they are being taken well care off,after all these years :)
